This Privacy Policy describes how ShopBooster ("ShopBooster",
"we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the ShopBooster
mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
ShopBooster is provided to auto service businesses ("Shop Operators") and their staff. If you are a
customer of a Shop Operator (for example, your auto detailer uses ShopBooster), the Shop Operator
controls your data and is the "controller" of that information. ShopBooster processes that data on
their behalf. Please contact your Shop Operator with questions about data they collect from you.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name, business address, and password.
- Customer records: information you (the Shop Operator) enter about your customers, such as their names, contact details, vehicles, service history, notes, and uploaded photos.
- Payment information: when you accept payments, payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: the content of SMS, MMS, and voice calls sent or received through the in-app messaging features.
- Support requests: any information you send us when you contact support.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information: device type, operating system version, app version, unique device identifiers, and crash logs.
- Usage data: features you use, pages viewed, and timestamps of activity within the Service.
- Push notification tokens: issued by Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) so we can deliver notifications to your device.
- Log data: IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and similar technical information.
1.3 Information from device permissions
With your permission, the app may access:
- Camera: to capture photos of vehicles, work in progress, or completed jobs.
- Photo library: to attach existing images to customer or job records.
- Notifications: to send reminders, message alerts, and payment confirmations.
- Microphone: when you place voice calls through the app.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device settings.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Authenticate you and secure your account;
- Process payments and send transactional receipts;
- Send SMS, MMS, push notifications, and email messages you have requested;
- Respond to support requests and communicate about your account;
- Improve the Service, diagnose bugs, and develop new features;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
3.1 Service providers
We share information with third parties that help us operate the Service, including:
- Stripe, Inc. and Stripe Terminal — payment processing and in-person card reader hardware.
- Twilio Inc. — SMS, MMS, and voice calling delivery.
- Plaid Inc. — bank account verification (when applicable).
- Pusher — real-time messaging delivery.
- Apple, Inc. and Google LLC — push notification delivery via APNs and FCM, and app distribution.
- Cloud hosting providers — storage and compute infrastructure.
Each of these providers is contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we direct.
3.2 With your direction
When you send a message, take a payment, or share a record through the Service, the relevant information is shared with the recipient (your customer, staff member, or payment processor).
3.3 Legal requirements
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ShopBooster, our users, or the public.
3.4 Business transfers
If ShopBooster is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this Policy.
4. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, financial records).
5. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing
support@getshopbooster.com from the email address
associated with your account, or by using the in-app account deletion option where available.
We will process your request within 30 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your information;
- Request a copy of your information in a portable format;
- Object to or restrict certain processing; and
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

7. Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers where required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
